Here is a list of Army Unit's that I've been in so far:
This was my Basic Training Unit. Aco 2/47 - Shadow Company, Ft. Benning (Columbus, Georgia). I was in 4th Platoon "DEATH DEALERS". I started in July of 2005, and graduated September 2005.
This was my AIT (Advanced Individual Training) Unit. I was stationed at Ft. Gordon (Augusta, Georgia). I went here for Signal training. My MOS (Military Occupational Specialty) was 25F7E. That cryptic name was for "Network Systems Switching Operator/Maintainer" (TELEPHONE OPERATOR) and the 7E was for a specialized dicipline in the field of EAC (Echelons Above Corp). I was trained to be an operator of the "SSS" or Single Switching Shelter.
This was my first "Real Army" unit. The 141st Signal Battalion. It's home was the Wiesbaden Army Airfield before it was deactivated on April 29, 2007. While in this battalion I served with Charlie Company (Cobras), and then once they returned from thier deployment, I was transfered to Bravo Company "Mad Dogs".
I am currently stationed with the 589th Signal Company. Their base of Operations is Baumholder, Germany. The mission of the 589th Signal Company is to provide real time data and voice communications to all elements of the 2nd Brigade Combat Team, 1st Armored Division.
